I am so excited to be teaching elementary Spanish this year! I love teaching elementary-aged students because they acquire the language quickly and naturally.
This is my sixth year at Oak Grove School teaching kindergarten through fifth grade. Prior to starting my career at OGS, I student taught at Libertyville High School and graduated from Illinois State University.
I grew up speaking Spanish and studied the language for over 10 years. I have a 20-year-old, younger brother David. My mother, Monica, was born and raised in Colombia, and my father, Roberto, was raised in El Salvador. My extended family still lives in Central and South America! My passion is working with children and teaching them about the language and culture.
During my free time I enjoy traveling, exercising, reading, and spending time with my two chihuahuas.
